Wet weather – photography tip

I recently had a holiday in Kalamata (Southern Peloponnese, Greece). Most of the days were sunny – wahey!  The wet days, however provided an opportunity to get shots of stormy skies. The shot below was shot on the most basic compact camera (Sony Cybershot – it does have a Carl Zeiss lens). The degree of control I have with this camera is minimal. However it does have an EV control  – this allowed me to underexpose the image by about 2 stops (-2) which resulted in this image:
