We’ve just had the second session of a 5 week block for the ‘Improvers’ photography workshop I’m teaching at the moment.
Today we looked at HDR & went into the Chapter House in Bristol Cathedral (it was a bit warmer than being outside!) I’ve been told it’s officially the last day of winter today… bring on the sunshine I say. I hope to post the before & after shots after next week’s session.
Last week we concentrated on portraits, I was explaining to the class about the virtues of shooting from a high angle with a shallow Depth of Field.
Here I’ve posted a great shot by student Ian
PS It’s shot on 50mm prime lens (ie fixed focal length) at a wide aperture of f1.4 – lovely! It’s also un-cropped. Great composition, great subject (me!)
