Iconic rows of lavender – nothing can quite replace seeing this extraordinary spectacle with your own eyes – the expanse of glorious purple mixed with the sweet heady aroma of Lavender – their rows perfectly manicured…….a gentle breeze and the sight of bees busy seaching for pollen. It evokes lovely imagery. Join me and see for yourself
Ideally you’ll need to bring a lens that will focus quite close to get those lovely detailed shots of the lavender and perhaps a zoom with a wide angle to capture the rows
Lavender is said to heal insect bites and burns as well as repel insects. It can soothe headaches and it helps you sleep if you have the flowers by your pillow. Dried lavender is used to repel moths in clothes closets. Lavender oil is also said to cure acne. The essential oil has antiseptic properties, it was used in hospitals in the 1st world war to disinfect wards. And of course it’s quite nice in the bath!
